How to print and export from Petrel

How to print seismic, log, and map files from Petrel?

Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Print". Select from your available Windows printers.

Note: Petrel printing uses SDI APS printing. To extend network printing options using Microsoft Universal Print please reach out to us.

How to export PDF, EMF, CGM, and PPT from Petrel?

Go to the "File" menu and select "Print". From dialog window select the target printer (e.g. SDI print to PDF, SDI print to EMF, and SDI print to CGM).

Note: To obtain high quality PowerPoint files please export to EMF. Then use Microsoft PowerPoint to open up the EMF file. Save as PPT.

SDI PDF Layout extends features like geo-referenced map coordinates and objects with full editing capabilities.

APS is included in Petrel

When you select "Print" you will see "APS Print". If you see select "Print" and instead see "Windows Print" please contact your Petrel support to have APS configured.
