SDI CGM hotspot automation tool

Auto extract text, apply hotspots to text, and generate hot spots via a predefined control file.

Three modes of workflow

1. Extract text - pulls all text elements from CGM file for inspection (automate checking)
2. Hot spot files - apply hotspots to text/lables based on string filter settings
3. Hot spot list (control file) - defines text, link, screen tip, and additional attributes (i.e., label background & text color) per hotspot entry

Output

Select output directory and create new log file or append to an existing log (useful for auditing or debugging).

String filter options

1. Select all text
2. Text with greater than or less than 'X' characters (use case: targeting call out IDs)
3. Numeric with greater than or less than 'X' digits (use case: targeting part numbers or codes)
4. Text that begins with or ends with specified text (use case: control or which labels get hotspots)
5. Text that contains specified text

Configure hotspot options to match IETM environment

1. Set name, ID, and screen tip
2. Set text color options and background colors
